Institute of International Studies (FSV UK) launches new Master’s programme in Transnational History

The Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, has received accreditation for a new Master’s programme in Transnational History — the first of its kind at Charles University. The programme will commence in the academic year 2026/27.

This new course expands the Institute’s academic offering, which now provides a complete educational pathway in modern and contemporary history — from undergraduate through Master’s to doctoral level — all taught in English.

The programme focuses on topics that transcend national and cultural boundaries — such as migration, globalisation, war, and social and political transformations. It fosters advanced research methods, critical thinking, and intercultural competence.

Full details regarding the admissions process — including criteria, deadlines, and application procedures — will be published in autumn 2025.
