IMS FSV UK opens a Ph.D./junior researcher position within an International Project “Displacement and (Post)secular Memory: Contemporary Crises and Historical Legacies in Southeastern and East-Central Europe (MEMCRIS)”

The Institute of International Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, is opening a junior researcher / Ph.D. student (1.0 FTE) position for 30 months within the international research project “Displacement and (Post)secular Memory: Contemporary Crises and Historical Legacies in Southeastern and East-Central Europe (MEMCRIS)”, funded by the NCN (Poland) and GA ČR (Czech Republic).

The project, led by Prof. Joanna Wawrzyniak (University of Warsaw) and Prof. Kateřina Králová (Charles University), explores how societies in East-Central and Southeastern Europe draw on memories of historical displacement when responding to contemporary political and social crises. The advertised Ph.D. position focuses on the Serbian case, under the supervision of Dr. Karin Roginer Hofmeister.
